Great guy.  Only saw him every 5 years at the reunions.  He looked forward to them.  He will be missed in September.    RIP my friend.

This is very sad news. Of our friends at Woodland High, Don was one of the best. Soft spoken,

great, subtle sense of humor. I was never in a group conversation, where Don was present, that

what he said didn't make me feel good or laugh.

I remember one Halloween night, when Kenny Leathers, Claude, Don & I---and I think Martineli too---in my parent's car loaded wirh crates of tomatoes,--- at Kennys suggestion----  headed for a "Holy Roller"

Church function. Turned out to be a Methodist Church, (of which Claude was a member), and they were having a family Haloween Party in the basement. The entrance was just to the right of the main entry to the Church. Well, we stood at the top of the stairs lobing tomatoes at all these "rowdy church families", jumped back into my parent's 54 Mercury, and drove like Hell itself was after us---lights off, of course.

We were immediately chased by the entire Sioux Nation of church goers. We tried to ditch the car  & split up.

Don climbed a fence into the back yard of a house near Needams and was met by a homowner holding a pitchfork,---he desided not to stay. The Sioux Nation caught me, took me back to the Parish with threats of imprisonment and sexual assualt. I---of course---squealed on everybody. The rest of our group were soon rounded up.  I was instantly forced into my well-practiced, apologetic, "I'm so sorry--it was all my fault" routine.

Bottom line, we were all let go after we assured our captures we were repentant, and immediately left to find other tomato recipiants.

With my ailing memory, I don't know how accurate this recollection is. But I do know this is a fond memory,

and I will miss Don Scott. Bless you Don---see you down the road.

Tony B.
