The last time I saw Richard was in 1963. I was in the navy & was the coxswain driving the liberty boat back & forth from my ship anchored in the bay to Fenwick street pier in Hong Kong. He was completely plastered & with assistance was boarding the liberty boat going back to his ship. I got the name of his ship & paid a visit. Richard was the consummate wild man his whole life!
Richard and his sister Irene were are neighbors when I was 4 years old. One night my parents went to a party leaving us kids with a sitter. She out us to bed very early, I was bored and could hear the Bem's outside picking green beans. I got up in my window and unmatched the screen. Out I went. It was a big colonial house, I fell ans got wedged between the propane tank and the house.
