ROSIE DIFUNTORUM OBITUARY

Rosie Difuntorum loving mother, grandma, and GG, passed away with her family by her side on July 12, 2022.  Born to Bruno and Luz A. Montoya September 3, 1944 in Woodland, CA, she was the youngest of five children.  Rosie attended Woodland schools and was part of WHS graduating class of 1962.  She was a much loved Teacher's Aide for WJUSD at Maxwell school for many years.  She went on to be an adult caretaker for parents of family friends.  She was a den mom, team mom, but mostly she was always available to run her six children and 11 grandchildren to school, sporting events, and plays.  During summers she hosted the grandkids for many different activities from weekly cake decorating, sidewalk chalk days, arts and crafts, and playing in the water.  Evenings she could be found out at the ballpark rooting for her kids and grandkids.  She will be remembered for her smile, sense of humor, and love for her family.   She is survived by children, Irene Difuntorum, Rudy Difuntorum and his wife, Brenda, Jorel Difuntorum and his wife, Heidi Gonzalez-Difuntorum, Tammy Arce and her husband, Oz, Aaron Difuntorum, and J.P. Montoya; grandchildren, Patrick, Vanessa, Steven, Genelle, Taylor, Kathryn, Braxton, Bailey, Kyle, Caden, and Laney; GG to Christian, Gregory, RuthAnn, and Cruz; bonus daughter, Yvonne and bonus grandson, William.  She was a beloved sister-in-law and aunt.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Luz; sisters, Irene Montoya and Pilar Andrade; brothers, Eligio and Andrew Montoya.  Memorial Mass will be at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday August 20 at Saint James Catholic church in Davis.  A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Holy Rosary Church Food Pantry in Woodland.  We would like to thank Dr. Alcalay and her staff, the doctors and staff at UCD Transplant Center, Sutter Home Health and Sutter Hospice staff for their support and care of our mom.
