Don will be missed by all of us.  We lost another link between our present and past.

Don was the Class of '62 and WHS oral historian and, importantly for us, was a moving force behind our last few reunions.  He sought to bring as many of us together as possible.  Don called classmates.  Many of you knew a reunion was coming when your caller ID said "Don Murdoch."  He maintained a written list of classmates, updating their information.  But Don also kept a mental list.  His memory was amazing.  If you wanted to know who dated whom or the starting line-up of the basketball team, you could ask Don.

This photo is from the 60th Reunion, where again Don regaled us with stories about our class.  We will miss him  and his contributions to the Class of '62.

The information Don kept in his brain was astounding.  I personally was simply shocked to hear of his passing.  As I made cookies this morning, I thought of Don at our reunion meetings!  May he rest peacefully.  Thanks for all your help Don.

Going to miss your openness that transcends racial barriers. Individuals like you made it worthwhile coming to reunions. God speed brother.

Thanks for the photo of Don from our 60th that you posted, Bill.  Ironically, it took until that reunion for Don and I to realize we both lived on Fremont Street in Woodland when we were small.  He and I may have competed in some of the same tricycle races that were held.  I am sorry he is gone.

Don was one of a kind.  He was my very first date...in 3rd grade!.  Our mothers drove us to and from the State theater.

RIP Don. You did not have a scanner, so, for any pic you wanted included in our various reunions, you would give me a call & I would say: "Sure, bring them over and I will scan them for you."  Don fishing when there was still fish to catch, Don on third street, don as Deputy, and Don in the Army.
